Click now to view full size version - This is a photo of the original handwritten script from back in 1987, which I stumbled upon while doing some packing in the house in Lagos. As you can see, the pages are really worn out. It took some effort to type out the first 2 pages, as the writing had almost faded out completely.

For instance the original story ends with the young believer and his convert finding better jobs than those they lost. This book’s version ends with the young man attending vocational skills training after a futile job search, and then starting a small business – after which he then gets a job. But he continues running his business part time.

That’s more consistent with the realities of today’s world compared to 1987!

So, this photo is of page 8 that I cut and kept, from Sunday Punch of 11th July 2010 - it's a special report on Omowale Ola's Foundation for Skills Development (http:// www.fieldofskillsanddreams. com/). In the book, I deliberately used FSD as a reference in the revised story line, for the main character (John)'s self-transformation - he attended a 7 month "carpentary" program at FSD and launched his own venture.
